GTA Online Weekly Update: 17th October 2024
More spooky shenanigans await in Los Santos this week with Slashers!
It's time for another GTA Online weekly update. Each week brings a new set of rewards, prizes, and goodies for you to get your hands on. Whether you feel like you want to show off your skills at the LS Car Meet to win a new vehicle or if you want to expand your property portfolio with discounted buildings, there's bound to be something for you.
Here, we're going to take you through everything added in the GTA Online Weekly update that was released on Thursday 17th October 2024, so that you know what awaits you when you enter Los Santos. There a few rewards limited to those of you using next generation consoles, but the majority of things added in the updates can be accessed by everyone playing GTA Online.

What time are the GTA Online Weekly Updates?
Based on the usual times the weekly update drops, here are the times that the next update should appear:
- UK: 10am (GMT)
- Europe: 11am (CET)
- East Coast US: 5am (EST)
- West Coast US: 2am (PST)
It's important to note that these are not set times, the updates can arrive earlier or later depending on how Rockstar have decided to release them.
All of the features below are available until Thursday 24th October.
Overview of the 17 October 2024 GTA Online Update
This week in GTA Online you can look forward to:
- Slashers have arrived for Halloween
- Creepy Cat Masks are up for grabs
- Extended Community Challenge
- Prize Ride - Karin Futo GTX
- Bonus GTA$ and RP on Slasher
- 30% off Albany Franken Stange
Slashers have arrived for Halloween
Hunt down a team of seven as the Slasher, armed with only a shotgun. However, after three short minutes those you were hunting will become the Slashers and you'll be the one being hunted.
Take part in Slashers by entering the Featured Series in Legion Square or through Adversary Modes in your menu.
Community Challenge
As a GTA Online commmunity has done so well so far Rockstar have upped the challenge this week. If you manage to slay 800 million zombies overall in the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode as a community you can get the Purple Glow Skeleton Onesie and the Green Glow Skeleton onesie - perfect oufits for spooky season.
Log-in to GTA Online any time this week to collect the previous challenge rewards of the Orange Glow Skeleton Onesie and the Red Hooded Skull Mask.
Clothing
Log-in any time this week to instantly unlock the Brown Creepy Cat Mask, Maritime Calaca Mask and Royal Calaca Mask.
Also, if you kill your Clone Slasher in Freemode at in-game nighttime then you'll earn the Black Creepy Cat Mask too.

GTA Online Time Trials
RC Bandito
The RC Bandito time trial this week is Cypress Flats. You will need to beat the 01:30.00 par time to get your hands on over $51,000 for your first victory.
Look for the icon in the picture below on your own GTA Online map to find the starting point for this trial.
HSW Time Trial
To start this type of time trial, you need own and be driving a HSW vehicle. This week, the HSW Time Trial is Del Perro Beach.
Time Trial
The Time Trial this week is Sawmill If you beat the par time of 02:15.00 you will win a little over $100,000 for your first victory of that course.
Remember, all of these goodies are only around until the next update on Thursday 24th October and then a brand new set will take their place. So, if you see anything you like then grab your weapons, start your engines and dive into the chaos that is Los Santos.
